It's been forever since I've been on this sight.  Mainly because I've set up a tumblr account for my art.  I'll keep posting here, just not as frequently. My tumblr art blog: http://foureyed-pufferfish.tumblr.com/ Thank you to everyone who continues to follow me even when I'm a lazy turd. -Jordan

Commissions?

0 min read
Hey everyone! I was hoping to get some advice from you people.  I am currently attempting to set up a place for Art Commissions, mostly for World of Warcraft.  However I have no idea where to advertise this, how to get started, or even a pricing range.  I've been looking around at what other people have and prices vary from artist to artist.  I've seen as low as $30 for a full body color all the way up to $200.  I've started creating some example work and plan on creating a blog of some sort to post on. But beyond this I am completely lost. Any tips? Help? Please. -Jordan Addition:  I just realized I listed that I "drinking" a hot pocket.

I wanted and intended to post over break, however my scanner is no longer working correctly and I can't seem to fix it.  The internet nor its manual seems to be of any use.  If any of you have any suggestions that would be wonderful.  The white balance is off.  Ever picture I scan in shows up completely white or with the smallest hints of black where the picture has its darkest color. I've tried everything, from cleaning the glass to restoring default settings.  I have no idea what to do. So sorry for the lack of posting.  It's not really my fault this time.  I've tried taking pictures with my camera but honestly, my camera sucks. In other

uhh.. You probably already have enough schoolwork to do, but could you help me understand what a function is by telling me whether this is true or not?

The definition of Function from Merriam-webster:
A mathematical correspondence that assigns exactly one element of one set, to each element of the same or another set. A variable (As a quality, trait, or measurement) that depends on and varies with another [24].

A function has three main parts: 50 x 2 = 100

1. The Input
2. The Relationship
3. The Output

What goes into the function is put inside a Parentheses after the function name.

For example: The value of f (x), for (x = 2), is f (2)

The (x) is a place-holder that shows you where the input goes and what happens to it.

This function: f (x) = x2 takes the Input (x = 2) and squares it.

So the (x2) takes the Input of (2) and gives the Output of 4

This can also be written as f (2) = 4

Other symbols besides (x) can also used.

The function: f (x = 2) = 1 - (x) + (x2) = 3
f (x = 2) = 1 - (x) = -1
-1 + (x2) = 3
The same function, but with (θ) for the Input's place-holder: f (θ = 2) = 1 - (θ) + (θ2) = 3
f (θ = 2) = 1 - (θ) = -1
-1 + (θ2) = 3

Whatever the symbol may be, the result will be the same [00].

The purpose of a function is to relate an input, to an output.
h(Gear) Gear x 20Km/h
h(2) = 40Km/h

The function takes the input (Gear of the car), and relates it to an output (The Speed, multiplied by 2).
